Automotive Lift Services Ltd GDPR Policy
We take data protection seriously at Automotive Lift Services LTD. We will ensure that any data stored by us is only used for the purpose it was given, for example processing an order and invoicing. We will only use the information you give to us for the purposes or processing your request/order, to communicate with you on matters relating to your enquiry/order or to contact you regarding an up coming service or repair. We will not use this information for marketing purposes and will not share your information with third parties apart from those required to fulfill your order.
How your details are stored
Once you have placed an order with us either over the internet or by phone your details will stored on our password protected accounting package for invoicing purposes and for future purchases you may make. The data we will store will be your Name/Company Name, Address, Telephone Number and in some cases email and VAT Number (if an EC Sale).
In line with PCIDSS Compliance we do not record or store any customer credit card details.
We will not ask for any other personal details other than those necessary to provide the service required by the customer.
If you are a supplier or hold an account with us we will store your Accounts Department information on our password protected accounts package. Where a credit account is held with us we will also hold copies of customer account application forms, these will be stored securely and kept confidential.
How we use your data
Customers
We wont use your information for marketing purposes and will only send you product information that is requested. We will only use your email address to send copies of invoices, statements and to respond to enquiries. We may call you or email you to notify you of any issues with your order or advise that a vehicle lift service, calibration or invoice payment is due, we will only ever call you regarding your order or matters that are relevant to the daily running of your workshop.
Your address details will only be used for the supply or collection of goods and to send copies of invoices or statements.
No credit card details are recorded and we are fully PCIDSS Compliant.
Suppliers
We will only use your information stored for ordering purposes, enquiries and remittance advice. Any bank account details are held with our bank and will only be used for payment of invoices.
Who we share your data with
We will never share your data with other companies for their own use. We will only ever share your details with our approved suppliers, solely to arrange the supply, delivery or collection of the parts you have purchased. This will only involve supplying your address and telephone number (for delivery purposes). They will only use this date to process your order.
How long will we store your data?
Your data will be stored electronically by us unless you request otherwise. This is to assist with any future orders and warranties. Archived accounts will only be kept for the period of time necessary for tax and accounting requirements.
Your rights regarding your data
You can request to see or amend the data we hold at any time.
‘The right to be forgotten’ – You can request at anytime for your contact details to be removed from our system.
Cookies and Google Analytics
Cookies are only used on our website to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to keep track of the products you have viewed to enable us to tailor our website based on your browsing behaviour and generally enhance your user experience. Cookies used on our website will only capture anonymous data.
We also use cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions in order to offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may also use trusted third-party services that track this information on our behalf. Please be aware that we use Google Analytics to gain insight into how our site is used.
